PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel tank material for two-wheelers which is rich in press processability required in tank manufacturing processes and is excellent in weldability even when the tank has a relatively hard Zn-Ni alloy plating layer as an underlying film and is further excellent in corrosion resistance on an inner surface side required for the two-wheelers. SOLUTION: The electric Zn-Ni plating layer of 1 to 40 g/m<SP>2</SP>in an adhesion amount per one side containing 5 to 30 mass% Ni is formed on the inner surface side of the tank contacting with at least fuel and a chromate treating liquid containing phosphoric acid of over 0.5 of mass ratio (chromium)/(total chrome) is applied thereon. Thereafter, a chromate film which is a chromate film obtained by heating and is within 2% of the chromium adhesion amount prior to immersion of the film in the change in the chromium adhesion amount after the immersion for 30 minutes in boiling water is formed and further thereon, a compound film containing metal powder of Ni in 1 to 20 parts by mass in 100 parts by mass amine modified epoxy resin is formed.
