PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strapping machine capable of firmly holding a tag when conveying the tag, and preventing detachment of the tag caused by mistaken tag delivery. SOLUTION: The strapping machine includes a tag holding mechanism 3A which is slidably fitted to a body chassis part 92 and having a claw with a positioning part formed on a tag 1A being fitted therein and having an opened groovelike tying tool passage 303 which is positioned to a tag fastening part with the positioning part being fitted to the claw and passes the tying tool from one fastening part to the other, and supporting the tag 1A, a tag conveying mechanism 4A for conveying the tag 1A to the tag holding mechanism 3A, and a pair of torsional spring members 21, 22 for holding the side end of the tag 1A to be conveyed to a tying tool forming mechanism 6A from the tag conveying mechanism 4A via the tag holding mechanism 3A from both sides.
