<p>A system and a method for updating replicated relations in a switch DBMS(DataBase Management System) are provided to process a replicated relation processing request stably and quickly by minimizing load of entire system when the replicated relation processing request occurs in an embedded database of the switch DBMS. A master processor system includes a master processor(210), and a hard disk storing an embedded database managed by the master processor and data for managing relations. A local processor system(230) includes a local processor an embedded database managed by the local processor. The master processor system checks blocks to be updated by using an analyzing/compressing engine performed in a flash memory when an update request for the replicated relation in the embedded database is generated. The master processor system compresses and stores the blocks to the hard disk and updates the replicated relations of the embedded database of the local processor system by using compressed contents when the when replicated data is found from the blocks to be updated based on the check result. The blocks to be updated include attributions such as a relation ID, and tuple and attribute offset information.</p> |
