<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable electronic apparatus capable of extending the life of a battery without increasing cost even when using a self-luminous display such as an OLED display. <P>SOLUTION: A power consumption estimating unit 62 estimates power consumption based upon a light emission rate and/or grayscale information of display of a display unit 3 to acquire power consumption data, and a control unit 6 makes display luminance of the display unit 3 lower than the set luminance when the power consumption is larger. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
