<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a filler for cleaning contaminated gases, by which malodorous or harmful pollutants such as molecular or aerosol pollutants, pollutants that are mixtures thereof, hydrophobic pollutants, or the like can be effectively and conveniently removed from contaminated gases containing such pollutants so as to be able to purify the gases. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing a filler for cleaning gases, which is used for filling a gas cleaning apparatus and thus for cleaning contaminated gases. The method comprises performing pretreatment that involves impregnating paper particles containing a fibrinous fibre as a major component with an aqueous solution containing phosphoric acid or phosphoric acid and urea and then drying and heating the resultant at a temperature ranging from 130 to 170°C, thereby forming phosphate fibres or monoammonium phosphate fibres, and performing specific treatment, for example. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
