PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pH measuring method capable of measuring easily and precisely a pH of a liquid specimen. SOLUTION: This pH measuring method is a method for measuring the pH of the liquid specimen, and includes the first step for wetting a pH indicating member adsorbed with a pH indicator on a support body, by the liquid specimen, the second step for measuring a light transmittance of the pH indicating member under a wet condition with the liquid specimen, and the third step for finding the pH of the liquid specimen, from a measured value of the light transmittance obtained in the second step, based on a correlation between the preliminarily obtained light transmittance of the pH indicating member and the pH.
