PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cap facilitating cap detaching work and suppressing deterioration in productivity even in a structure where the cap is inserted in a pipe with respect to a surface of an end plate which is a component part of a heat exchanger. SOLUTION: The cap 1 comprises a cylindrical part 2 with one end face sealed and another end face opened, a protrusion 4 protruding to the outside of the cylindrical part 2, and a small projection 16 provided on a face on a sealed end 5 side of a tip end of the projection 4. By providing a groove 6 from a boundary part of a circumference of the opening face 3a of the cylindrical part 2 and the protrusion 4 toward the sealed end 5 of the cylindrical part 2, while leaving a thin part 7 on an outer circumference of the cylindrical part 2, the thin part 7 can be easily torn by pinching and pulling the projection 4, so that detaching work of the cap 1 can be facilitated. When detaching the cap 1, deterioration in productivity can be suppressed even in a structure in which the cap 1 is inserted in the pipe with respect to the face of he end plate.
