<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply apparatus for inexpensively acquiring stable power from an electric cable. <P>SOLUTION: The power supply apparatus 100 has a constitution in which an electrode plate 1 is disposed between the electric cable L and the ground E, and an insulator 2 is disposed between the electrode plate 1 and the ground E. The electrode plate 1 is disposed so as to be parallel to the electric cable L. The electric cable 1 and the ground E are maintained in an insulated state by the insulator 2. When a voltage is applied to the electric cable L in the constitution, a potential difference is generated between the electrode plate 1 and the ground E by an electrostatic induction effect. A LED 3 emits a light by connecting both terminals of the LED 3 to the electrode plate 1 and the ground E. The power supply apparatus 100 can be used for a power supply having electrodes as the electric plate 1 and the ground E.
