<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording material free from an error during information recording and reproduction, having high coloring properties and high gloss and drying properties, being hardly damaged and having satisfactory handling properties of a printable label layer coating liquid in an information recording medium having at least an optical information recording layer, an underlayer and a printable label layer on a substrate, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: In the information recording medium having at least the optical information recording layer, the underlayer and the printable label layer on the substrate, the printable label layer is a porous layer mainly containing inorganic fine particles and polyvinyl alcohol and the inorganic fine particles contains wet process silica (A) pulverized to have ≤500 nm average secondary particle diameter and gas phase process silica (B) having 10 to 20 nm average primary particle diameter at a mass ratio of A/B=70/30 to 30/70. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
