<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress shock which may be produced by sudden change in the temporal change of output torque from a motor, along with the suppression of sudden change of time change of output torque from the motor. <P>SOLUTION: When the motor MG 1 is controlled by a torque instruction Tm1* which sets an engine to operate at target rotation speed Ne*, and when a temporary torque Tm2tmp calculated so that a demanding torque Tr* might be output to a driving shaft is not in ranges of torque restriction Tm2min and Tm2max based on I/O restriction of battery Win and Wout, restrictions for control Tconmin and Tconmax are set by output torque of the motor MG 2 (last time instruction Tm2*) and torque restriction Tm2min and Tm2max (S200). Thereby the torque instruction Tm2* of the motor MG 2 is set by restricting the temporary torque Tm2tmp (S210).
