摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the detection accuracy of luminance of external light on a flat display device. <P>SOLUTION: A photosensor 210 for detecting the luminance of external light is arranged on the external light receiving surface side of an integrated driving circuit 200 loaded on a display device. Since the integrated driving circuit 200 is provided with the photosensor 210, external light can be highly accurately detected without being affected by noise. By adjusting a data signal to be applied to an element driving transistor Tr2 for controlling a current caused to flow into an EL element according to the external light luminance detected by the photosensor 210 and by adjusting cathode power supply voltage when necessary, both of high display quality and low power consumption can be achieved. An external light detection result of the photosensor 210 can be used also for the generation of an instruction for executing a specific function and the prediction of power generation in an information apparatus provided with a photovoltaic generation part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
