<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an enzyme electrode equipped with an electron mediator, including an organic compound that is easy to be synthesized and low in cost and excels in electrode capacity, and to provide a method for making the electron mediator bond to the surface of a conductive base material, using simple processes. <P>SOLUTION: The enzyme electrode is equipped with the conductive base material connected to an external circuit, oxidation-reduction enzyme capable of transmitting electrons with respect to the conductive base material, and the electron mediator capable of mediating electrons between the conductive base material and the oxidation-reduction enzyme. The electron mediator is a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compound and is fixed to the surface of the conductive base material. The manufacturing method of the enzyme electrode is such that the nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compound having an amino group is bonded to the surface of the conductive base material via the amino group as the electron mediator. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
