PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat sliding device for a vehicle enabling securing of moving amount of an upper rail without being limited by a memory function at the position of the upper rail. SOLUTION: This seat sliding device has a memory piece 31 provided to be engageable with and disengageable from a lower rail 3, arranged in a direction separated from the lower rail 3 and locked on the lower rail 3 by interlocking with forward inclination of a seat back, a receiving part 37 provided in the upper rail 4 and capable of abutting on a front part of the memory piece 31, and a memory plate 38 provided in the upper rail 4 and having a curved part 38a capable of abutting on a rear part of the memory piece 31 and a pressing part 38b for locking the memory piece 31 on the lower rail 3. When the memory piece 31 is separated from the lower rail 3, the memory piece 31 is held by the receiving part 37 and the curved part 38a and is moved by interlocking with the upper rail 4.
