<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system of a mouse alternative operation for a projector image for detecting the pointed position of an image projected from a projector onto a plane when the image is directly pointed by a finger, while using no special input means, and using a simple device configuration. <P>SOLUTION: The mouse alternative operation system 10 for a projector image comprises a projector 13 for projecting an image 12 onto a plane 11, an image pickup device 16 imaging a finger 15 of a hand 14 pointing a portion of the image 12 projected by the projector 13, and an arithmetic processing unit connected to the projector 13 and the image pickup device 16 for controlling the output of the projector 13 based on a video signal from the image pickup device 16. The arithmetic processing unit is provided with an opaque mask processing means which, when the image 12 is projected from the projector 13 onto the plane 11, sets a predetermined area to appropriate brightness, including the portion of the hand 14 imaged by the image pickup device 16. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
