TONER SUPPLY ROLL AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner supply roll which is less in stress applied to toner. SOLUTION: The surface of a soft polyurethane foam layer is modified so that the abundance percentageα(%) of nitrogen atoms calculated by an expression (1):α=ä(A-B)/(C-B)}×100 satisfies 5<α<50. In the expression (1), A represents the abundance ratio (atom%) of nitrogen atoms obtained by measuring the surface of the soft polyurethane foam layer modified with an isocyanate solution by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy; B represents the abundance ratio (atom%) of nitrogen atoms obtained by measuring by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy at a depth of 1.5 mm from the surface of the soft polyurethane foam layer modified with an isocyanate solution; and C represents the abundance ratio (atom%) of nitrogen atoms obtained by measuring the isocyanate used for modification by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.
