PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a friction drive mechanism for suppressing the eccentric wear of a driving shaft due to rollers. SOLUTION: As a moving body 13 is reciprocated along a rolling track C1 between contact points 1a, 1b of rollers 8a, 8b, 8c with the outer periphery of the driving shaft 1, it has slide contact with the outer periphery of the driving shaft 1 via rollers 8a, 8b, 8c only on the same track. Thus, the driving shaft 1 on the same track is liable to wear. The wear of the outer periphery of the driving shaft 1 changes a lead amount L to cause a change of a feed amount. To prevent the eccentric wear of the driving shaft 1, the position of a rolling track D1 between the contact points 1a, 1b of the rollers 8a, 8b, 8c with the outer periphery of the driving shaft 1, is changed as required to change a slide contact position D1 between the outer periphery of the driving shaft 1 and each of the rollers 8a, 8b, 8c into a position of D2 to prevent the eccentric wear of the driving shaft 1.
