PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for obtaining pure cellulose containing any impurity such as lignin etc. from a plant-based raw material containing lignocellulose. SOLUTION: The method for preparing pure cellulose comprises the first process of executing a pressurized hot water treatment that is to make contact pressurized hot water of 180-250°C at 10-20 MPa with a plant-based raw material containing lignocellulose, and discards a liquid material, that is separated from the plant-based raw material by means of contacting the plant-based raw material with the pressurized hot water, together with the pressurized hot water after contacting with the plant-based raw material, the second process of excuting a subcritical water treatment for producing a solvated liquid material by mixing the plant-based raw material treated in the first process by a subcritical hot water of 350-390°C atom pressurized up to 25-35 MPa, and the third process of excuting a separation treatment to precipitate cellulose out of the solvated liquid material by cooling the solvated liquid material obtained in the second process.
