PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive and an adhesive sheet using the same, excellent in initial tackiness and its holding capacity, facilitating peeling off an adherent when wanted to peel off, and also enabling the adhesive peel interface to be selected at discretion. SOLUTION: The adhesive is composed of two layers, wherein one of the layers consists of a pressure-sensitive peel-type adhesive 1 including a releasant 3 and at least including pressure-breakable microcapsules 2, and the other consists of a heat-peel-type adhesive 4 including a second releasant 6 and at least including heat-breakable microcapsules 5. This adhesive is so designed that the pressure-breakable microcapsules 2 do not break at a break-setting temperature for the heat-breakable microcapsules 5, and the heat-breakable microcapsules 5 do not break at a break-setting pressure for the pressure-breakable microcapsules 2.
