PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passenger conveyor system smoothed in use of a second passenger conveyor by a user of a first passenger conveyor and saved in energy of the second passenger conveyor. SOLUTION: This passenger conveyor system comprises the first passenger conveyor 1 and the second passenger conveyor 51 which has the same elevating direction as the first passenger conveyor and onto which a passenger got off the first passenger conveyor gets. This passenger conveyor system comprises a first detecting unit 101 for detecting a passenger M in a getting-off place 3 of the first passenger conveyor 1 and while generating a first detection signal and a control section for starting the second passenger conveyor 51 in stop based on the first detection signal and controlling to travel at a speed lower than the rated speed of the second passenger conveyor.
