This member comprises two undeformable components (4, 5) each comprising two arms suitable for being housed inside each section of the assembly, and means (11) for displacing one component with respect to the other allowing these to be moved apart. One of the components comprises two retractable pegs (20, 21) sliding in slots of these branches and each stressed by a spring (22 or 23) making it project towards the opposite wall of the section with a view to penetrating into a hole (27 or 28) made in the latter, the branches of the two components are elastically connected to each other, especially by the springs (22 and 23) in order to prevent them from separating. This member makes it possible to produce an assembly in remarkable conditions of convenience and simplicity, and automatically ensures suitable clamping of the sections against each other. <IMAGE>
