Device for determining a temporary process inside an electrochemical energy storage unit (1) comprises openings (14) distributed on the housing (4) of the storage unit and measuring units extending into the electrolyte (9) through the openings. The measuring units extend into the electrolyte at different depths to measure the electrolyte density or a measuring parameter over a determined time period in a row of electrolyte layers lying over each other. Distribution of the measured values are displayed in a display unit. An independent claim is also included for a method for determining a temporary process inside an electrochemical energy storage unit. Preferred Features: A measuring tube (8) is inserted into each opening. Measurement of the electrolyte density or corresponding replacement parameter is carried out in a row of electrolyte layers lying over each other at several sites of the energy storage unit. |
