A display device, a method for driving the same, and an electronic apparatus are provided to enhance image quality without increasing electric power consumption by setting a bootstrap ratio largely within a pixel size. A display device includes an electro-optical element, a write transistor for writing an image signal, a driving transistor for driving the electro-optical element based on the image signal, and a pixel array unit with matrix typed pixels having a storage capacitor connected between the gate and source of the driving transistor. The storage capacitor includes a first electrode(24A), a second electrode(24B) disposed opposite to one surface of the first electrode to form a first capacitor(24-1), and a third electrode(24C) disposed opposite to the other surface of the first electrode to form a second capacitor(24-2). The first and second capacitors are connected electrically with each other in parallel. |
