A shelf for a bus is provided to facilitate loading and unloading of a large freight by increasing an inlet of a luggage chamber through expansion of a flexible bar. A shelf for a bus comprises a side body(10) and a plurality of brackets fixed between sides of a loop(11) at a regular interval. Blocking plates(14) are installed at the brackets, respectively, and a support(17) is installed below the brackets to form a luggage chamber(C) between the top portion of the support and the blocking plates. A lid(20) is installed at an inlet of the luggage chamber so that the both upper sides of the lid are coupled to the brackets by using a hinge(21). The hinge has a hinge member(22) connected with a damper(24) below the brackets. The support is divided into a fixed support(31) and a rotating support(32) coupled with the fixed support by using a hinge(33) and positioned at an inlet of the luggage chamber. A flexible bar(36) is connected between the rotating support and a cylinder(25) of the damper.
