An audio video navigation system for performing convenience function for users based on sunrise and sunset times are provided to enhance user convenience by adjusting automatically illuminance of a display device based on the sunrise and sunset times. A GPS(Global Positioning System) receiver(101) receives position data from GPS satellites. An altitude sensor(102) senses altitude and outputs altitude data. An illuminance sensor(103) senses an external or internal illuminance of vehicles, and outputs illuminance data. A map data DB(104) stores map data based on latitude, longitude, and the altitude. A sunrise and sunset DB(105) stores sunrise and sunset data based on the latitude, longitude, and altitude. A tour DB(106) stores location information of tour areas. A navigation controller(107) calculates current position, outputs sunrise data and sunset data and an illuminance control signal, searches the location information, and outputs map matching data. A display device displays the current position, sunrise and sunset times, and the location information. An illuminance adjustor(108) adjusts illuminance of the display device according to the illuminance control signal. An AV(Audio and Video) unit(114) includes radio broadcasting reception function, and audio and video replay functions. |
