A safety check-up apparatus for a vertical structure is provided to prevent collapse of a vertical structure by detecting displacement of the vertical structure using a light source and an optical sensor. A safety check-up apparatus for a vertical structure includes a horizontal supporting plate(10), a moving vertical plate(20), a moving vertical diagnosis plate(30), a lift supporting unit(40), and a sensing control box(50). The horizontal supporting plate is fixed on a horizontal surface. The moving vertical plate is installed on the horizontal supporting plate and guides rollers(41) of the lift supporting unit. The moving vertical diagnosis plate is installed on the horizontal supporting plate, and guides and senses the lift supporting unit. The lift supporting unit senses unevenness of the vertical structure by moving back and forth simultaneously with lifting up and down. The sensing control box notifies an administrator of unevenness if detected, and alarms with a speaker(52).
