PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that when any communication trouble is caused, a user is not able to receive a service although the user pays for the money. SOLUTION: This charging box device 0100 is provided with a paper money conveyance part 0102 for storing paper money 0106 input from a paper money input port 0101 by temporarily stopping the conveyance of the paper money before dropping it; and a control part 0104 for, when a signal receiving part 0103 receives a predetermined signal, controlling the paper money conveyance part 0102 to resume the conveyance of the paper money whose conveyance has been temporarily stopped, and to continue the paper money conveyance operation until dropping the paper money to a paper money drop box 0105, and for, when the signal receiving part does not receive the predetermined signal, or receives another predetermined signal, controlling the paper money conveyance part to invert the conveyance of the paper money whose conveyance has been temporarily stopped to the paper money input port.
