PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a titanium oxide photocatalyst which shows excellent photocatalytic activity by the irradiation of a fluorescent lamp by supporting an iron compound on the surface of titanium oxide in the titanium oxide photocatalyst under a low temperature drying condition and is much in the amount of carbon dioxide produced. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the titanium oxide photocatalyst containing titanium oxide as a base material includes a process for mixing titanium oxide and the iron compound with a solvent to prepare a mixed liquid, a process for separating a mixture containing titanium oxide and the iron compound from the mixed liquid and a process for supporting the iron compound on the surface of titanium oxide by drying the separated mixture at 40°C or lower.
