PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic ignition device for an automobile internal combustion engine, having a function of cutting off an excessive current when flowing in a power transistor. SOLUTION: To the electronic ignition device for the internal combustion engine, a thin film resistance element and a thin film transistor are connected which are fused by an excessive current flowing in a series circuit between a primary coil and the power transistor. The thin film resistance element and the thin film transistor to be fused by the excessive current flowing in the power transistor are integrally mounted on a chip type electronic component in a control circuit.
