<p>[PROBLEMS] A headrest that is versatile, that is thin, and in which operation load in tilting of the headrest from a head support position to a stowed position is reduced for easy headrest tilting operation, and a vehicle seat with such a headrest. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] The head rest includes a pillar (1) mounted on the upper part of the backrest (S2), a headrest frame (2) constructed by combining a main frame (21) and a subframe (22) that are pivotally engaged with the pillar (1), headrest frame urging means (3) for urging the headrest frame (2) to one side, lock means (4) capable of preventing relative pivoting between the headrest frame (2) and the pillar (1), and a ratchet lever (44) for operating the lock means. At least a part of the ratchet lever (44) is located between the main frame (21) and the subframe (22). The main frame (21) and the subframe (22) are connected together by a hemmed and staked section (21b).</p> |
