PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a labeling apparatus capable of enhancing the labeling quality by preventing generation of wrinkles on a label when affixing a label to an article having a columnar surface. SOLUTION: The labeling apparatus includes an adsorbing plate 10 for adsorbing a label L from the surface side to an adsorbing surface 12 by protruding the label from both end edges 10a in a direction F orthogonal to the axis of an article W, and a pair of holding means which are provided on the outer sides of both end edges 10a of the adsorbing plate 10 and hold a projecting part La of the label L projecting from both end edges 10a relative to the article W at an affixing position Y of the adsorbing plate 10 from the surface side. The holding means is constituted of an air jet pipe 20 for jetting air to the projecting part La of the label L at the affixing position Y of the adsorbing plate 10. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
