PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an account opening system for quickly opening an account by simplifying a processing procedure.

SOLUTION: A customer 3 sends the application information 23 of an account opening application to a server 11 of a service providing undertaker 5. When all necessary input items of the application information 23 is written, the server 11 temporarily registers the customer 3, and permits the use of a portion of services. The server 11 performs the principal confirmation of the customer 3 by using a principal limit reception mail provided by a mail station 7 as a means for the principal confirmation of the customer 3, and actually registers the customer 3, and opens an account, and permits the use of all the services. When the terminal equipment 9 of the customer 3 makes an inquiry to the server 11 of the service providing undertaker 5 about the account opening processing circumstances or principal confirmation result in the temporary registration stage, the server 11 sends the account opening processing circumstances or principal confirmation result to terminal equipment 9.
