<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect inclination of a prescribed subject in an image. <P>SOLUTION: An image processor for detecting the inclination of the prescribed subject includes a particular area setting unit for setting an area including the image of the prescribed subject on an object image as a particular area corresponding to each of a plurality of evaluation directions, and an evaluating unit for calculating a prescribed evaluation value expressing a feature of a distribution of pixel values along the direction orthogonal to the evaluation direction for a plurality of evaluation positions along the evaluation direction based on the pixel values of the image in the particular area for each of the plurality of evaluation directions. The image processor also includes a determining unit for determining the inclination of the prescribed subject in the object image based on the selected evaluation direction by selecting one of the plurality of evaluation directions based on the calculated evaluation value for each of the plurality of evaluation directions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
