<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motopsin knockout animal utilizable for development etc., of a psychotropic drug preventing the outbreak of autism and abnormal social behavior and to provide a method, and the like, for screening the psychotropic drug. <P>SOLUTION: The knockout animal and the like, in which the expression of motopsin is inhibited by destroying a motopsin gene on the homologous chromosome are provided. The prepared motopsin knockout mouse is a mouse having unique characteristics such that points indicating the social behavior for a long period of time are recognized in a behavioral test.
