PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely perform resetting of a sensor for detecting a steering angle in a configuration of mechanically separating a steering wheel from a steering gear. SOLUTION: A first encoder 13 outputs a pulse signal according to rotation of the steering wheel 2 and counts a pulse number by an up-down counter 24 to detect the steering angle. The count value of the up-down counter 24 is reset when the steering wheel moves to a neutral point. A reset signal Rw used at this time chooses a pulse signal of an oscillator circuit 27 by using a neutral position signal Cw output by a neutral point detecting sensor 14. The pulse signal of the oscillator circuit 27 is a satisfactorily narrow signal for pulse widths of rotation detection signals Aw, Bw output by the first encoder 13. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
