PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molded article of a plurality of optical surfaces symmetric about the optical axis of an optical element and having the approximately equal face precision. SOLUTION: A mold device 10 is for molding the optical element by injecting a molten raw material for molding into cavities 40 formed by fixed side mirror surface pieces 26 and movable side mirror surface pieces 36 arranged facing each other and spaced apart from each other and has the optical axis of the optical element formed within the cavities 40, gates 28 formed near the intersecting points of the fixed side mirror pieces 26 with cavity 40 surface sides, heaters 38 embedded in the movable side mirror surface piece 36 near the positions facing the gates 28, and a temperature controller 44 controlling the temperature of the heaters 38.
