PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a viewing angle control film achieving a wide viewing angle, high contrast, and conductivity, and an optical filter for display using the same. SOLUTION: Respective lines of light absorbing parts having conductivity which are consecutively arranged at a fixed interval in order to control a viewing angle are arranged so as to have cross sections different between a horizontal direction and a vertical direction, whereby the viewing angle control film capable of achieving an electromagnetic wave shielding property, high contrast, and a wide viewing angle can be obtained. By using this viewing angle control film in the optical filter for display, a display having a wide viewing angle and high contrast can be obtained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
