PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing method for a display panel preventing washing water from remaining on a terminal portion of the display panel for preferably washing it. SOLUTION: The washing method for a liquid crystal display panel 100 is provided with: an element substrate 101, a terminal portion 104 formed on one edge side on the element substrate 101, and a counter substrate 102 bonded onto the element substrate 101 with a seal material 103 interposed so that the terminal portion 104 is exposed. The terminal portion 104 is washed using washing water, pure water 107 on the terminal portion 104 is flashed by air along one side of the element substrate 101 where the terminal portion 104 is formed and on a flank of the liquid crystal display panel 100 on a downstream of the air, a guide member 105 is brought into contact with a region between the end surface of the counter substrate 102 on the side of the terminal portion 104 and the seal material 10 on the end surface side to guide the pure water 107 from on the element substrate 101 to the outside.
