<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory card control device which demonstrates optimal communication performance between host equipment and a memory card. <P>SOLUTION: The memory card control device identifies communication speed (frequency fm) used as a speed specification of the memory card MD, for example when connecting the host equipment HST with the MD, and stores information on frequency fh proportional to this frequency fm in a storage circuit MEMa. When there is an acquisition request for communication speed information from the HST accompanying configuration operation, the memory card control device responds the information on frequency fh stored in the MEMa to the HST and establishes communication between the HST and the MD. This enables acceleration of communication speed by the side of the HST according to speeding up of the HST or the MD, and can optimize the communication performance between the host equipment and the memory card. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
