PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently exhibit functions of reading embedded information and of detecting forgery and alteration and a function of restraining duplicating for one printed document. SOLUTION: A restraint image 13 comprising restraint points having a prescribed position, size, and color is generated from a design determined with a restraint design 11. On the other hand, a woven pattern watermark image 14 after having some woven pattern points removed is generated from a woven pattern watermark image 12 with a document. The restraint image 13 and the woven pattern watermark image 14 after the removal are put together to generate a composite image 15. A printed document output as the composite image 15 is a printed document with very high security that sufficiently exhibits the functions of reading the embedded information and detecting forgery and alteration and the function of restraining duplicating without interference between both woven pattern watermark effect and restraint effect.
