PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetoresistance-effect element reducing spin-injection noises (STIN), a magnetic head and a magnetic reproducing apparatus. SOLUTION: The magnetoresistance-effect element has a magnetoresistance-effect film having a magnetization free layer, a magnetization fixing layer and an intermediate layer, arranged in between the magnetization free layer 1340 and the magnetization fixing layer; a magnetic coupling layer arranged on a magnetization-fixing layer for the magnetoresistance-effect film, a ferromagnetic layer disposed on the magnetic coupling layer and an antiferromagnetic layer 1320 disposed on the ferromagnetic layer. The magnetoresistance-effect element, further has a magnetic-domain control film applying a bias magnetic field in a direction substantially parallel with the film surface of the magnetoresistance-effect film and substantially vertical to the magnetization direction of the magnetization fixing layer, with respect to the magnetization free layer, and a pair of electrodes for conducting a current in the direction towards the magnetization-fixing layer from the magnetization free layer through the magnetoresistance-effect film. The magnetoresistance-effect element is configured so that asymmetry is positive and an element resistance RA in the direction of the flow of the current becomes 1.5Ωμm<SP>2</SP>or smaller.
