PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that, when low-temperature treatment gas flows into a space between a shaft of a rotating body for stirring a molten metal and a gas feed pipe, an inner surface of the shaft is cooled, and broken by a high thermal stress exerted by the difference in thermal expansion between the cooled inner surface of the shaft and an outer surface of a rotary shaft being at high temperature by a molten metal. SOLUTION: In a rotating body 1 for stirring a molten metal, a rotor 5 stirring a molten metal 2 is mounted on one end of a shaft 4, and a connector 3 to be connected to a rotation-driving mechanism is mounted on the other end thereof; a gas feed pipe 7 is concentrically arranged therewith while a space 9 is formed inside the shaft 4; and a sealing fixed material 10 is embedded in a vicinity of a rotor 5 side in the space 9, and in a vicinity of the connector 3 side, respectively. Both ends of the gas feed pipe 7 are firmly fixed and sealed. Thus, the fixed gas feed pipe 7 is hardly loosened even by the centrifugal force caused by the rotation of shaft 4 or the expansion or contraction by the heat of the shaft 4. Generation of any gas leakage from a contact part of the gas feed pipe 7 with the connector 3 is suppressed, and breakage of the shaft 4 can be prevented. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
