<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the level of a range side lobe to cope with detection of low-altitude targets at which reflection power of a clutter is large, since signals of minute targets are buried due to the range side lobe such as a clutter of large reflection power, when pulse compression is performed. <P>SOLUTION: This pulse radar system applies phase modulation of a plurality of transmission pulses whose transmission frequencies change by a predetermined interval of frequency at each pulse transmission, and transmits the pulses in the direction of a target repeatedly, and the system is equipped with a pulse compression processing unit for demodulating a received pulse signal reflected by an assumed point target and received, by using a filter coefficient calculated from the received pulse signal reflected by the point target and received, and an observed signal being a signal after pulse compression to be observed only in a range bin containing the point target, which is acquired when the received pulse signal is subjected to pulse compression processing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
