PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double structure exhaust pipe capable of inhibiting drop of durability and generation of abnormal noise. SOLUTION: This exhaust pipe 1 for an internal combustion engine is provided with an inner pipe 2 and an outer pipe 3 arranged at an outer circumference of the inner pipe to have a space part 4, has one ends 2a, 3a of the both pipes 2, 3 fixed not to relatively move, and retains the inner pipe 2 relatively movably by putting a ring shape shock absorbing material 7 on another end of the both pipes 2, 3. A plurality of clearance parts 8 where a gap between the inner pipe 2 and the outer pipe 3 is large are formed on a section on which the shock absorbing material 7 of the inner pipe 2 butts in a circumference direction.
