PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive standing aid being attachable/detachable relative to an existing foldable wheelchair and being folded with its installed thereon for persons in need of an assistance of a care-giver when the person sitting in the foldable wheelchair tries to stand up or sit down. SOLUTION: This standing aid for foldable wheelchairs is so formed that: armrest parts in the both sides of the foldable wheelchair and a seat bottom part are covered with a cloth or the like; frame parts are attached to the both sides of the seat bottom part of the cloth; and a rope such as a string is stretched/loosened by a drive section attached to the back part of the wheelchair to lift/lower the frame parts.
