The device (10) has a retaining section (16) with a contact area contacted with a roof covering unit, and a mounting section (12) with another contact area contacted with the roof covering unit. The mounting section has a third contact area contacted with another roof covering unit. The contact areas are arranged in such a manner that the forces are transferred into a supporting plate over the contact areas through the roof covering units and the mounting section, where the forces are induced into the retaining section by a component that is to be mounted.
