PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance sheet processing efficiency by widthwise aligning a sheet without stopping the sheet temporarily in the device body. SOLUTION: The sheet widthwise alignment device comprises a reverse feed roller pair 40 for conveying a sheet P while nipping it at nip portions having circumferential surfaces abutting each other, a pair of roller shafts 42 attached concentrically to respective reverse feed rollers 41 of the reverse feed roller pair 40 and to rotate integrally, a pair of shafts 43 which are drive shafts for transmitting a drive force from a reverse feed motor 51 to the roller shafts 42, and a pair of cursors 61 for matching the width of the sheet P being conveyed by the reverse feed roller pair 40 under nipped state by holding the sheet P from the width direction wherein the pair of roller shafts 42 are coupled movably toward the central axis direction while rotating integrally with corresponding shafts 43.
