To protect the contact of a centrifugal switch and to prevent it from arcing in an induction motor. A TRIAC (triod AC semiconductor switch) is connected in parallel with the contact of a centrifugal device in a centrifugal switch, so that a current that flows through the contact of the switch is all by-passed through the TRIAC. Only a small current for triggering the TRIAC is permitted to flow through the centrifugal switch, such that the contact of the switch is burned or worn out little and is prevented from arcing.
