The circuit has a pair of motors (13, 14) for actuating an acceleration and braking system and another pair of motors (11, 12) for actuating a steering system. An electronic control unit (17) is used for controlling the former pair of motors, and another electronic control unit (16) is used for controlling the latter pair of motors. The electronic control units are connected to a main voltage supply (18) and a stand-by voltage supply (19) via respective supply lines (20, 22). An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling an acceleration and braking system and a steering system of a vehicle.
