PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lower the manufacturing cost of a projector when a user does not require a function of automatically making trapezoid correction of an image to be projected by enabling the user to make a choice of whether the function is available for an image projection system. SOLUTION: The image projection system includes the projector and a USB cable. The USB cable has a signal output terminal for outputting image data transmitted from a computer to the projector, an angle sensor which detects an angle, and a control unit which controls the angle sensor. When the signal output terminal is mounted on the projector (S1), the control unit detects the angle of a tilt of a projector main body to a horizontal surface by using the angle sensor, and also detects the vertical direction of the projector main body based upon the detected angle (S2). Then information on the angle detected by the angle sensor and the vertical direction is transmitted from the signal output terminal to the projector 2 (S3). COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
