PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preparation process of a resin particle having the excellent monodispersion property, a strong hydrophilic property and the excellent dispersion property to an aqueous medium. SOLUTION: The preparation process of a resin particle comprises a step of adding a seed particle to an emulsion made of a polymerizable monomer and an aqueous medium and making the seed particle absorb the polymerizable monomer and a step of polymerizing the absorbed polymerizable monomer. A water-soluble polymer having a thiol group at a terminal is added to the emulsion while the polymerizable monomer is being absorbed in the seed particle. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
